The applications of DTF printing are everywhere as we know it. It covers pretty much every common fabric you can think of — pure cotton, polyester, nylon, modal, blends, you name it. From sportswear and streetwear to shoes, bags, pet accessories, and outdoor gear, it just works across the board.
At the core of the whole DTF process sits the white DTF ink. This is the essential consumable. Its job is to lay down a super-opaque white base on dark fabrics, blocking out the original color so your colors pop bright and saturated. Thanks to its film-forming ability, the design transfers cleanly and stretches with the fabric. In fact, the whiteness, dispersion, and film properties of the white ink are what decide whether your print looks premium or just average.
Prints a solid white underlayer on dark fabrics, cuts off the base color completely, and lets the top colors hit maximum brightness and saturation.
When it dries together with the hot melt powder, it forms a tough, flexible film that locks the color inks to the fabric. Without this step, heat transfer simply wouldn’t stick.
Its elasticity and rub resistance directly control the final print’s wash fastness and crack resistance — exactly what you need for stretchy sportswear and activewear.
HONGSAM is one of the very first professional ink manufacturers to jump into the DTF ink division. We actually own the DTF® trademark and led the drafting of China’s national standard for textile pigment inks. Our flagship product is the JETTEXTILE® UltraWhite DTF white ink. It runs smoothly on all the popular Epson printheads — XP600, TP800, I1600, I3200 — and works perfectly with mainstream transfer films and hot melt powders on the market. You get high elasticity, excellent whiteness, strong wash and scratch resistance, plus slow settling so the ink stays stable. It contains zero harmful solvents like ethylene glycol. That means it relieves a pain point in the industry: it is genuinely skin-safe — you can print kids’ clothes and underwear without a second thought. The whole production follows strict 5S standards, and every single batch gets rigorously tested before it leaves the factory.
The JETTEXTILE® nano pigment ink made the official list back in 2016 — the China Printing and Dyeing Industry Association’s 10th batch of energy-saving and emission-reduction advanced technologies. They also hold the Swiss OEKO-TEX® ECO-PASSPORT certification. Today they’re sold in over 100 countries and regions, and customers worldwide keep coming back with great feedback.
