HONGSAM has successfully concluded its participation in the 28th Cross-Strait Longgang Printing Industry Expo & 2026 East China Packaging Technology Exhibition. At this event, HONGSAM was located at booth G3-1 in Hall B, where it primarily showcased its packaging film digital printing solution and third-generation latex printing solution. The focus was on the practical application of water-based latex digital printing for packaging materials. The team engaged in in-depth discussions with packaging factories, color printing plants, and industry partners present at the show. From short-run on-demand printing of PET packaging films to the expanded application of JETALL® water-based latex ink on specialty papers (coated paper, gray cardboard, specialty paper, white kraft paper, special printing paper, etc.), HONGSAM presented integrated equipment-and-ink solutions, offering the industry more practical approaches to digital printing implementation.
The excitement of the Longgang exhibition has temporarily closed, but the journey of technical exchange continues. Over the three-day event, the exhibition floor remained bustling with visitors. At the Longgang show, HONGSAM presented two digital printing solutions:
The first is the Hong-Jet® HJ-908L Packaging Film Digital Printing Solution, with live demos of PET film printing. This solution addresses the needs of short-run, proofing, and personalized production in the packaging printing sector. By adopting digital printing, it reduces reliance on traditional plate-making processes and provides more flexible production options for multi-variety, small-batch orders.
The second is the Hong-Jet® Third-Generation Latex Printing Solution, which specializes in direct printing without coating on absorbent/semi-absorbent materials, such as coated paper, gray cardboard, Specialty paper, white kraft paper, various cardstocks, and specialty printing papers. HONGSAM continues to explore applications centered on ink-equipment matching, print quality, and actual production requirements, delivering technical support that stays close to real production scenarios.

Traditional packaging printing typically requires comprehensive planning based on order volume, plate-making fees, production lead times, and changeover frequency. When order quantities are small, product styles are numerous, or designs need frequent changes, plate-making and changeover processes can rise upfront costs and complicate production organization.
The Hong-Jet® HJ-908L Packaging Film Digital Printing Solution integrates digital printing equipment, JETALL® water-based latex ink, and supporting drying processes, offering a new production pathway for printing PET and other packaging films.
1) Digital printing reduces traditional plate-making steps
There is no need to produce a separate traditional printing plate for each design version, which reduces plate-making related preparation work. For orders involving frequent revisions, proofing, or multi-style switching, this helps shorten the upfront preparation process.
2) Ideal for short-run and multi-variety orders
Digital output is better suited to small-batch, multi-style, personalized, and on-demand production scenarios. Companies can schedule production according to order requirements and reduce the organizational costs associated with repeatedly making plates for different designs.
3) Water-based, eco-friendly latex ink
The solution uses JETALL® water-based latex ink, with more than 90% lower VOC emissions than solvent-based inks, making it safe and environmentally friendly.

Hong-Jet® HJ-908L Printer Extended Application Solution
Aside from printing on thin soft films, the HJ-908L printer can also work on conventional printing paper, including but not limited to uncoated art paper, kraft paper, gray back board, art paper, decorative paper, and other materials. Compared to other solutions, the Hong-Jet® HJ-908L printing solution is heating faster and equipped with white ink, suitable for a wider range of material types; compared to other uncoated paper printing solutions, the Hong-Jet® HJ-908L printing solution has higher precision and is not particular about paper.
Solution Positioning: An integrated latex digital printing solution for absorbent/semi-absorbent materials such as coated paper, gray cardboard, Specialty paper, white kraft paper, various cardstocks, and special cardstocks, enabling direct printing without coating.
The final print quality of latex ink on paper substrates results from the combined interaction of the inkjet system, ink formulation, drying system, and surface characteristics of the substrate. Equipped with a customized drying and heating system. Its heat output matches the film-forming characteristics of latex ink, which ensures ink layer durability while controlling energy consumption, balancing finished product quality with production costs.
