From November 6 to 8th, the 2026 Central China Printing & Packaging Industry Expo was held at the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. HONGSAM showcased multiple Hong-Jet® digital printing solutions at booth F166, presenting the practical applications and exploration of latex digital printing technology across diverse scenarios—including PET packaging films, wood boards, metal plates, and coated paper.
HONGSAM booth attracted numerous industry customers and professional visitors. Traditional packaging printing typically requires comprehensive planning based on order volume, plate-making costs, production lead times, and changeover frequency. When orders are small in batch size, feature multiple product styles, or require frequent design adjustments, the plate-making and changeover processes can increase upfront costs and complicate production organization. The Hong-Jet® HJ-908L packaging film digital printing solution integrates digital printing equipment, JETALL® water-based latex ink, and a matching dehydrating process, offering a novel pathway for short-run production of PET and other packaging films.
1) Digital printing reduces traditional plate-making steps
There is no need to produce a separate traditional printing plate for each design version, which reduces plate-making related preparatory work. For orders that involve frequent revisions, proofing, or multi-style switching, this helps shorten the front-end preparation process.
2) Suitable for short-run and multi-variety orders
The digital output method is better suited to small-batch, multi-style, personalized, and on-demand production scenarios. Companies can arrange production according to actual order requirements, reducing organizational costs caused by repeated plate-making for different designs.
3) Water-based eco-friendly latex ink

HONGSAM demonstrated a solution using JETALL® third-generation latex ink for printing on coated paper, presenting the application of the third-generation latex ink on paper-based materials, and offering a new technical approach for the paper printing sector.
1) No OP, no coating—direct printing on multiple substrates
Eliminates the need for substrate pre-coating and OP treatment processes. Materials such as coated paper, gray cardboard, specialty paper, kraft paper, and specialty cardboard can be printed directly on the machine, simplifying upstream production processes.
2) 8-color water-based latex ink—eco-friendly, odorless, and vibrant colors
Equipped with 8-color water-based latex ink offering a wide color gamut and excellent color reproduction. The water-based system is free of pungent odors, and is well suited to packaging, cultural & creative products, and brand printing orders that demand high environmental standards.
3) Dedicated drying and heating system—low power consumption, high efficiency
A customized drying and heating system is provided. Heat output is matched to the film-forming characteristics of the latex ink, ensuring ink layer durability while controlling energy consumption and balancing finished product quality with production costs.
